Resource Software International Ltd. (RSI) was founded in 1990 to develop, manufacture and distribute communication management applications for: call accounting, computer telephony integration, screen pops, desktop productivity, switch management, toll fraud, alert notification, wake up calls, hotel and motel billing, instant messaging, carrier comparisons, rebilling, facilities management, equipment billing, internet access contro and surf browser reporting. They also provide a number of outsourcing and managed services including invoice analysis, rebilling and remote web call accounting.
In August 2000, RSI acquired the assets of Revolution Software, a call accounting company previously located in Needham, MA. The integration of two popular product lines under one umbrella broadened their comprehensive communications management portfolio that includes Revolution Web Call Accounting, Telecost CMS (Canada), Shadow CMS and Visual Rapport.
In May 2007, RSI acquired MerAssistant, from PBXInfo LCC, strengthening its position as the leading provider of total communication management solutions for telephony platforms. MerAssistant is a switch management application intended for the non-technical telecom manager that requires intuitive solutions for moves, adds and changes (MACs) to his telephony equipment. The company offers solutions compatible with all industry leaders including Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, ShoreTel, Alcatel-Lucent, ESI, Asterisk and many more.
In December 2007, RSI launched a new hosted call accounting service, available anywhere, anytime, to cater to the needs of small, medium and enterprise customers. The new service reduces overhead costs, maintenance fees and the need for internal personnel to learn telecom management software.
In October 2008, RSI once again acquired communication solutions that extend its footprint in the communication management space. RSI added a series of online website portals for tracking, managing and sending text and mobile messages.
In January 2009, RSI unveiled its latest version of its multi-platform, multi-vendor flagship application Shadow CMS.
In an effort to consolidate communication productivity management, RSI is now offering a comprehensive total unified communication management software (TUCMS) portfolio which includes call accounting, hotel billing, real time dashboards, visual console presence management, PBX administration and mobile reporting.
